Check valves are installed in air ducts of air conditioning systems, air heating systems, common ventilation systems and technological ventilation systems in the main and auxiliary buildings and structures of nuclear power plants under construction and under reconstruction.
Check valves are used to prevent air and non-explosive air mixtures that do not contain fibrous materials, dust and other solid impurities in an amount exceeding 100 mg/m from flowing into the air ducts when the fan is stopped.
Check valves are installed in a vertical or horizontal section of the air duct of the system. In a vertical section of the duct, the direction of air movement through check valve isfrom the bottom upwards.
